  • Keeping daily accounts and inventory control.
  • Selling canteen items at recess and noon.
  • Kitchen duties coordination with the cafeteria team.
  • Support school recycling program.
  • Substitute for Head Cafeteria Worker as required.

Rate of Pay: As per CUPE Collective Agreement ($20.60)

Terms and conditions of employment, including wages, are in accordance withthe Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE) Collective Agreement Local 3876.

Qualifications and Abilities:

  • Must have experience in food and menu preparation.
  • Must be organized, neat/tidy and have clean work habits.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced atmosphere.
  • Must have knowledge of food and nutrition policy for Nova Scotia Public Schools.
  • Must enjoy working with students.
  • Valid Nova ScotiaOperator's License.
  • Must have a current Food Handling Certificate.
