GrizzlyTrek Group Ltd. is seeking an experienced Wellhead Field Service Technician to join our Edmonton team. The role involves installation and maintenance of wellheads, delivering top-notch customer service, and representing the company on site.

Based in Edmonton, you will travel to field sites, work a day schedule with overtime potential, and ensure safety and quality in all operations. You will drive a service unit and manage tools and components, contributing to reliable field performance.

Qualifications

  • Experience in wellhead installation and maintenance or closely related field.
  • Valid Class 5 driver's licence with clean abstract.
  • Willingness to travel to field sites including overnight stays.

Responsibilities

  • Execute field service tasks including installation and maintenance of wellheads and deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Maintain and manage the assigned service unit and tools.
  • Assemble, test, and paint wellhead assemblies as required.
  • Maintain thorough service records and reports.
  • Support sales and customer relations activities as needed.
  • Travel to field sites and perform roustabout duties if required.
  • Uphold Health and Safety policies and safe work practices.

Wellhead Field Service Technician

Edmonton, Alberta | Full-Time

Oil and Gas / Field Service | Experienced | Full-Time

  • Position Type: Full-Time
  • Location: Edmonton, Alberta
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, with overtime and call out availability based on operational requirements
  • Hours: 8 to 10 hours per day, 40 to 50 hours per week
  • Compensation: $30.00 to $40.00 per hour, based on experience
  • Experience: Previous wellhead, field service, or oilfield service experience required
  • Certification: Valid Class 5 driver's licence required. Picker certification and standard oilfield safety tickets considered an asset
  • Travel: Travel to field site locations is required, including overnight stays depending on job location

The Role

GrizzlyTrek is seeking an experienced Wellhead Field Service Technician to join our valued client's team in Edmonton, Alberta. This is a full-time position responsible for executing field service requirements such as the installation and maintenance of wellheads, while providing exceptional customer service and representing the Company in a positive manner.

The successful candidate will work from the Greater Edmonton area and surrounding region and travel to field site locations as required. This role suits a hands-on technician who takes ownership of their assigned service unit, works safely without close supervision, and builds strong working relationships with customers in the field.

What You'll Do
  • Execute field service requirements such as the installation and maintenance of wellheads while providing exceptional customer service.
  • Maintain the assigned service unit, including tools and spare component requirements.
  • Deliver, assemble, test, and paint wellhead assemblies.
  • Provide customer property repair as required.
  • Ensure that in-depth service records and reports are maintained.
  • Provide support to sales and customer relations activities as required.
  • Perform roustabout duties and picker operations as required.
  • Travel to field site locations to provide assistance as required.
  • Maintain a strong commitment to workplace Health and Safety by conducting all operations in a safe manner and following all Company procedures and HSE policies.
  • Perform other related duties such as shop and vehicle maintenance as necessary.
What You Bring
  • Previous experience in wellhead installation and maintenance, oilfield field service, or a closely related trade.
  • Valid Class 5 driver's licence with a clean driver's abstract.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and confidence working with hand tools, power tools, and torque equipment.
  • Demonstrated commitment to Health and Safety, including following all Company procedures and HSE policies.
  • Willingness and ability to travel to field site locations, including overnight stays depending on job location.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage an assigned service unit, tools, and spare components.
  • Strong customer service skills and the ability to represent the Company professionally on customer sites.
  • Accurate record keeping skills for in-depth service records and reports.
  • Physically capable of working outdoors in all seasons and lifting and handling heavy components.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Picker or boom truck operator certification.
  • Roustabout or lease maintenance experience.
  • H2S Alive, Standard First Aid with CPR, Ground Disturbance Level 2, and CSTS or equivalent safety tickets.
  • Class 3 driver's licence with air brake endorsement.
  • Experience with wellhead assembly, pressure testing, and painting.
  • Familiarity with pressure control equipment and applicable API standards.
  • Welding, rigging, or heavy equipment experience.
Work Environment
  • A combination of shop based work and field work at wellsites throughout the Greater Edmonton area and surrounding region.
  • Outdoor work in all seasons and weather conditions.
  • Travel to field site locations is required, with overnight stays depending on job location.
  • Shop and vehicle maintenance duties form part of the regular role.
  • Personal protective equipment is required at all times on site.
