Salary: $80,000 - $100,000 base; benefits included

Our client is a leading manufacturer of custom-built metal fabricated parts. We are seeking a Welding Manufacturing Engineer in the Milton, Cambridge, or Guelph area. The ideal candidate will have experience in process improvement for metal fabrication, setting up customized production lines, capacity planning, line modifications, and equipment relocation to support new projects. A clear criminal check is mandatory.
The Welding Manufacturing Engineer role involves working closely with Production and Engineering teams to enhance floor capacity, manage equipment relocation, process flow, and support new product development. The candidate will focus on welding processes, improving weld instructions, SOPs, and best practices, while ensuring safety standards.
Preferred candidates will have at least 5 years of experience in welding process improvement, leading continuous improvement projects, line balancing, and familiarity with Lean methodologies related to welding. Qualifications include a Degree in Mechanical Engineering, EIT, or a Welding Technologist diploma. Proven experience in welding process enhancement, including bending, cutting, forming, and welding procedure development, is essential. Excellent English communication skills are required. A clear criminal check is also necessary.
