Job summary

Air Liquide in Sherbrooke is hiring an Inside Sales Representative to sell welding equipment, tools, and supplies while delivering expert customer service. You will process orders, manage inventory, prepare quotes, and monitor competitors to stay competitive.

The ISR interacts with customers in person, by phone, and by email, offering informed recommendations and collaborating with colleagues to meet customer needs.

Qualifications

• 2 to 5 years of experience in the industry, customer service, or sales of welding or industrial products.
• Good knowledge of computer systems and the Google suite.
• High school diploma.
• Class 5 license, clean driving record.
• Positive attitude and focus on customer service.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and advise customer.
• Provide first-rate assistance to customers in selecting welding equipment, durable goods, power tools, safety supplies, and industrial gases.
• Provide excellent customer service in person, by phone, and by email.
• Meet customer needs by recommending appropriate products and services.
• Analyze and expedite customer orders in a timely manner.
• Enter sales data, quotes, and other relevant information into the inventory control system.
• Ensure that customer inquiries regarding billing issues, bottle balances, order status, and delivery times are handled appropriately.
• Assist the manager in ordering the appropriate merchandise to ensure stock remains at an acceptable level.
• Restock merchandise in the store.
• Prepare and deliver effective presentations and sales proposals to potential customers.
• Identify, monitor, and document competitive market activities by gathering current market information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules.
