Job summary

Fuze HR Solutions is seeking an experienced Welder for an afternoon shift in Burlington, Ontario. This hands-on role involves welding, repairing, modifying, and fabricating components for tanks and trailers, with a focus on MIG/TIG welding of steel, aluminum, and stainless steel from blueprints.

The ideal candidate has at least one year of welding experience and can read technical drawings. We offer a permanent, full-time position with a 40-hour week, weekly pay, and comprehensive benefits

Qualifications

  • At least one year of professional welding experience.
  • Hands-on experience with GMAW/MIG and GTAW/TIG welding.
  • Experience welding aluminum and stainless steel.
  • Experience with plasma cutting, arc gouging, and oxy-acetylene cutting.
  • Ability to read and work from blueprints and technical drawings.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and assembly specifications.
  • Perform MIG and TIG welding on steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
  • Prepare, fit, and assemble components before welding.
  • Complete simple to complex assemblies according to required specifications.
  • Perform welding in multiple positions.
  • Repair, modify, and fabricate tank and trailer components.
  • Operate plasma-cutting, arc-gouging, and oxy-fuel cutting equipment.
  • Perform thermal cutting and shaping of metal components.
  • Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality and dimensional requirements.
  • Follow established workplace safety procedures.

Location: Burlington, Ontario
Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Compensation: Up to $37.00 per hour, depending on experience
Shift Premium: Additional $1.50 per hour for evening shifts
Schedule: 40 hours per week

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Welder to join a growing industrial service and fabrication team in Burlington. This hands-on position involves welding, repairing, modifying, and fabricating components for new and used tanks and trailers.

The ideal candidate is confident working from blueprints, can complete projects from fit-up through final welding, and has experience with MIG and TIG welding on steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.

Responsibilities

Compensation and Benefits
  • Hourly wage of up to $37.00, based on experience
  • Additional $1.50-per-hour evening shift premium
