Job description

On behalf of our well established and growing client, we are recruiting for a skilled Welder/Fitter. As a Welder/Fitter, you will be responsible for welding and fabricating various metal components using various welding techniques. This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in welding and fabrication to showcase their skills and contribute to the production of high-quality products. This role could lead to an opportunity to lead your own team.

Compensation: $55-70,000 plus overtime, benefits and pension. DOE

Responsibilities:
  • Perform welding and fabrication tasks according to specifications and blueprints
  • Operate welding equipment, such as MIG, TIG, or stick welders
  • Fabricate and assemble metal components using various tools and machinery
  • Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings
  • Conduct quality inspections to ensure finished products meet the required standards
  • Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and within budget
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Ticketed Welder with at least 3 years welding experience
  • Proficient in various welding techniques, including MIG, TIG, and stick welding
  • Strong ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings
  • Experience in fabricating and assembling metal components
  • Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot issues and make necessary adjustments
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate assembly and welding
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
