Job summary

Arrow Off Road Guelph, a division of Arrow Manufacturing Group, is seeking a Welder-Fitter to weld and finish components from detailed schematics to meet customer specs. The role requires experience with GMAW and GTAW on carbon steel, stainless, aluminum, and more, plus ability to read complex drawings and work independently or in a team.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 diploma, or equivalent.
• 3-5 years previous work-related experience in the same or related industry.
• Highly proficient fitting skills including prepping and materials to meet Blueprint specifications.
• Highly proficient welding skill in Mig - Hard Wire, Flux Core.
• GTAW Experience – an asset.
• Sub Arc Experience – an asset.
• Red Seal Certification – an asset.
• CWB/AWS/TSSA tickets are an asset.
• Experience in custom fabrication is an asset.

Responsibilities

Job Summary:

As a Welder-Fitter, the incumbent is responsible to Weld and Finish specific components from detailed schematics or blueprints and materials to meet customer requirements and specifications.

Wage range:$29.55 up to $35.25 hourly

Primary Responsibilities:

• Able to weld with GMAW & GTAW to required specifications. (Carbon Steel, Stainless Steel, Aluminum and Mild Steel)
• Communicate and work with co-workers to develop fixture concepts.
• Perform welding, grinding duties as required.
• Work independently or as a team member.
• Work from complex drawings.
• Ensure all parts are prefabricated correctly to meet customer specifications
• Work in a safe manner by following all Occupational Health & Safety Regulations, Company
• Policies and Procedures.
• Perform other duties as defined and assigned by department supervisor, or lead hand.
• Comply and perform all duties with the organizational set of standards.
• Initiate and continually strive for maximum production efficiency and attention to detail.
• Document and complete Quality reports.
• Maintain a clean and organized working area.
• Upon completion of assigned work ensure adequate clean up and inspection of all weldments and fabricated parts as required.
• Knowledge of welding process and set-up.
• WHMIS and MSDS knowledge of all substances

Educational Requirements:

• Grade 12 diploma, or equivalent

Required Skills & Expertise:

• You have at least 3-5 years previous work-related experience in the same or related industry.
• Highly proficient fitting skills including prepping and materials to meet Blueprint specifications
• Highly proficient welding skill in Mig - Hard Wire, Flux Core

Physical Demands:

• Walking, standing, sitting, kneeling, bending, and repetitive hand / wrist / finger / arm movements while using welding guns and tools / equipment in order to perform the job.

Physical Environment:

• Industrial manufacturing environment: noise, weld smoke, and weld flash, fumes, oils, dust, and metal filings.
• Personal Protective Equipment provided and must be worn.

Sensory Attention:

• Attention to detailed drawings relating to the product being manufactured.
• Constant awareness that manufacturing processes meet customer specifications.
• Industrial environment with many different processes/manufacturing occurring through out the building constant awareness towards safety measures at all times.
