Arrow Machine and Fabrication Group in Guelph, ON is seeking an experienced Welder to fabricate and finish components from detailed schematics.

You will weld with GMAW and GTAW to carbon steel, stainless, aluminum, and mild steel, read complex drawings, and work safely in a team environment. Competitive hourly wage and comprehensive benefits offered.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years welding experience in related industry.
• Proficient in MIG - hard wire and flux core welding.
• GTAW experience is an asset.
• Red Seal and other tickets are assets.

Responsibilities

• Weld and finish components from schematics to meet customer specs.
• Weld with GMAW & GTAW to required specs.
• Work from complex drawings and ensure parts meet customer specs.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and document quality reports.

Position Summary:

As a Welder, the incumbent is responsible to Weld and Finish specific components from detailed schematics or blueprints and materials to meet customer requirements and specifications.

Compensation Range:$23.03 up to $34.53 hourly

Primary Responsibilities:

• Able to weld with GMAW & GTAW to required specifications. (Carbon Steel, Stainless Steel, Aluminum, and Mild Steel)
• Communicate and work with co-workers to develop fixture concepts.
• Perform welding and grinding duties as required.
• Work independently or as a team member.
• Work from complex drawings.
• Ensure all parts are prefabricated correctly to meet customer specifications
• Work in a safe manner by following all Occupational Health & Safety Regulations, Company
• Policies and Procedures.
• Perform other duties as defined and assigned by department supervisor or lead hand.
• Comply and perform all duties with the organizational set of standards.
• Initiate and continually strive for maximum production efficiency and attention to detail.
• Document and complete Quality reports.
• Maintain a clean and organized working area.
• Upon completion of assigned work, ensure adequate clean up and inspection of all weldments and fabricated parts as required.
• Knowledge of welding process and set-up.
• WHMIS and MSDS knowledge of all substances

Educational Requirements:

• Grade 12 diploma, or equivalent

Required Skills & Expertise:

• You have at least 3-5 years previous work-related experience in the same or related industry.
• Highly proficient fitting skills including prepping and materials to meet Blueprint specifications
• Highly proficient welding skill in Mig - Hard Wire, Flux Core
• GTAW Experience – an asset
• Sub Arc Experience – an asset
• Red Seal Certification – an asset
• CWB/AWS/TSSA tickets are an asset
• Experience in custom fabrication is an asset

Physical Demands:

• Walking, standing, sitting, kneeling, bending, and repetitive hand / wrist / finger / arm movements while using welding guns and tools / equipment in order to perform the job.
