At our plant in beautiful Campbell River, British Columbia, our talented team of 30 full-time staff specializes in designing and building custom aluminum boats. Job Description

Multiple openings due to company expansion

What will you do?

  • MIG/TIG aluminum welding and hull construction;
  • Fabrication includes fitting of pre-cut parts;
  • Preparation of components for welding;
  • Sub-assembly of parts including welding;
  • Ensure work area is kept clean and organized to reduce or remove hazards;
  • Follow all applicable Eaglecraft Boats and WorkSafeBC Occupational Health & Safety regulations.
What do you need to succeed?

  • Proficient in MIG (Push-Pull) welding, pulse experience preferred;
  • 2-3 years previous experience in welding and fabrication of aluminum products;
  • Ability to safely operate saws, grinders, drills, and other power tools;
  • High attention to detail is required in order to achieve quality standards;
  • Ability to read blueprints/drawings and understand work order specifications preferred but not required.

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Regular periods during which there is continuous physical effort is required, e.g., walking, standing, stooping, climbing, lifting material or equipment, some of which may be heavy or awkward;
  • Exposure to factors such as temperature variations, fumes, moving machinery, humidity, toxic materials which may cause periods of discomfort, high noise levels;
  • Frequent need to give concentrated attention, either hearing or seeing to work being performed;
  • Noticeable pressure from deadlines, production quotas, accuracy or similar demands exists.
