About Us

Dairy Lane Systems, established in 1990 as a Surge milking equipment dealer, has expanded its services to include automated milking robots, stabling, manure management, plumbing, and ventilation services. Recently, we acquired two milking equipment dealerships in Western Canada. Our business also involves designing, building, and operating renewable energy biogas plants (DLS Biogas), constructing agricultural structures (DLS Structures), and manufacturing dairy farm equipment (DLS Manufacturing).

Details About The Job

Location: Komoka, Ontario

The successful candidate will join an innovative team in a new shop equipped with the latest technology to create and repair milking parlours, manure management equipment, and barn stabling. Responsibilities include laying out, cutting, fitting, measuring, and welding metals.

This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, 7:00 am – 4:00 pm. We offer a competitive total compensation package, including benefits and opportunities for growth. Compensation will be based on experience.

Job Duties
  1. Read drawings, fit, and weld to specified dimensions.
  2. Shear, bend, grind, and cut materials to create desired weldments.
  3. Inspect and test welds and equipment.
  4. Occasional on-site work.
  5. Maintain professional relationships with customers.
  6. Provide quality workmanship according to industry standards.
  7. Adhere to Health and Safety requirements to prevent injuries.
Skills & Qualifications
  1. 1-5 years MIG welding experience.
  2. 1-2 years TIG welding experience is an asset.
  3. Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
  4. Ability to use various tools and equipment.
  5. Basic math skills and mechanical aptitude.
  6. Strong work ethic and team orientation.
  7. Ability to read blueprints and recognize welding symbols.
  8. Highly organized with good planning skills.
  9. Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks.
  10. Strong communication skills.
  11. CWB and/or Red Seal certification is an asset.
  12. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  13. Legally entitled to work in Canada.
  14. Valid G driver’s license with a clean abstract.
  15. Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.
