Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years' experience with MIG on aluminium required.
• CWB Certification for MIG and aluminum welding is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret drawings for part design.
• Weld parts using appropriate techniques and maintain clean work area.
• Operate overhead crane or forklift as required.

Job description

• Read and interpret drawings for part design.
• Perform necessary part preparation prior to welding.
• Weld parts to be assembled using appropriate techniques (MIG, MIG on aluminium and steel).
• Inspect and touch up parts as necessary.
• Operate an overhead crane or forklift as required (asset).
• Use air tools (grinder, sandblaster, sander, riveter, drill, tape measure, etc.) or more sophisticated tools (plasma cutter, etc.).
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.

Education + Experience Required

• DEP in Welding - Assembly.
• 3 to 5 years' experience with MIG on aluminium.
• Experience in the lighting industry (asset).

Qualifications + Skills Required

• CWB Certification:
  • MCAW/FCAW - 2 positions (2FW and 1GF, asset).
  • Alu/GMAW - 2 positions (2FW and 1GF, asset).
• Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines.
• Understanding of technical and assembly drawings.
• Excellent customer service skills and values.
