Summary

The Welder is involved in joining pipe, steel, beams, vessels, and other metal components. This work may be indoors or outdoors and can be physically demanding.

CNRL Maintenance - Fort McMurray, AB

Anticipated Start Date:

May 22, 2025

Shift:

14&14 or 7&7

Travel:

Flights provided from Edmonton or Calgary

Accommodation:

Camp available

Hourly Rate:

$34.52 - $44.38 (Exclusive of employer contributions for vacation/statutory, health and welfare, RSP, pension, and education and training)

Job Duties
  • Comply with Company and Client Safety rules, as well as OH&S standards
  • Read and interpret blueprints to determine requirements of the job
  • Join or sever metals in beams, vessels, piping, and other metal components
  • Utilize different processes and fillers depending on the Client requirements
  • Clean and check welds for defects
  • Attend required safety and toolbox meetings
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Must be an Alberta registered apprentice or hold an apprenticeship certificate recognized by AIT
  • CSTS-09, CSO, or BSO certification
  • Able to work well in a team environment
  • Physically able to lift 50 lbs and climb in/under units in the field
  • Organized and self-motivated
