Description

Starting pay: $23.24/HR

Shift Hours: 3:30 PM - 12:00 AM

Wastequip has an immediate opportunity for a Welder to support our Amrep Division in Ontario, CA. This is a full-time position with benefits including Health Insurance, 401K, Paid Vacation/Sick leave, and more. The ideal candidate will be a MIG Welder with prior manufacturing experience.

Responsibilities
  • Position parts in jigs or fixtures, or clamp parts along layout marks
  • Lay out, position, and tack weld workpieces
  • Weld along vertical, horizontal, and overhead lines
  • Connect regulator valves for cutting torch, adjust gas flow, and operate torch to cut metal
  • Examine welds for quality and specifications
  • Prepare welds by scarfing or grooving
  • Remove excess weld, slag, or splatter
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Must regularly stand, walk, reach, stoop, lift, climb, balance, kneel, crouch, or crawl
  • Lift and/or move up to 25 lbs regularly
  • Specific vision abilities required include distance, close, peripheral, and depth perception
Qualifications
  • Six months of related experience or training
  • MIG welding experience is required
  • Ability to read and understand simple instructions and blueprints
  • Knowledge of basic math and tape measure reading
  • Experience in a fast-paced production environment preferred
  • Ability to pass all EHS requirements
