Overview

G & W Products Inc. is a leader in contract metal manufacturing and fabrication. Founded in 1968, our areas of expertise include metal stamping, laser cutting, fabrication, manual and robotic welding, tool and die work, powder coating and assembly. Our modern facilities include 190,000 square feet of manufacturing space between three facilities located in Fairfield, OH. We specialize in numerous industries including construction, transportation, energy, and defense. We have an opening for a 1st shift Weld position to join our team.

The schedule for this 1st shift position is Monday - Thursday from 5:00 am - 3:30 pm.

Responsibilities
  • This position will follow blueprint product specifications to weld and fabricate parts to customer designs.
  • Daily responsibilities are to align, fit and weld parts together.
  • Set up and operate hand tools.
  • Verify fabricated elements meet design specifications.
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of previous weld experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • Ability to work as a team to maximize efficiency and productivity.
  • Familiar with welding tools, and practice safe and correct procedures of metalworking equipment in shop environment.
  • Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
  • Follow quality standards by providing great attention to detail.
  • Ensure work is done safely.
  • Lift raw materials (up to 50 pounds).
  • Must have the ability to weld and fabricate components complete by interpreting and analyzing drawing files; maintaining quality and safety standards; keep detailed records, maintain shop equipment and supplies.
  • AWS certification history is a PLUS.
  • Upon interviewing you must demonstrate that you can successfully complete the weld certification process.
  • Must be able to pass D1.1, D1.3 weld certification within 2 weeks of hire.
