Qualifications

• Certification en soudage requise.
• Expérience dans le soudage d'équipements lourds recommandée.
• Connaissance en boring de ligne considérée comme un atout.

Responsibilities

• Opérer des équipements de soudage et de découpage de manière efficace.
• Fabriquer des structures à partir de dessins ou de croquis.
• Restaurer des composants en acier et en fonte endommagés par le soudage.

Job description

Toromont Cat is looking for a Welder to join our team! A Welder plays an important role in our service department providing technical expertise to ensure superior customer service in the repair, fabrication of parts and structures in our shop.

In a typical day, YOU will:

• Demonstrate safe, environmentally sound and healthy work behaviors at all times, in support of Toromont’s Health and Safety Policies, Programs and initiatives
• Operate electric, acetylene and semi-automatic welding and automatic burning equipment effectively and efficiently
• Fabricate structures from drawings or sketches
• Maintain quality workmanship to repair Caterpillar equipment within the established time standards out in the field
• Restore damaged steel and cast iron components by welding, dissembling and assembling relative components
• Maintain an inventory of materials used for fabrication
• Maintain and build strong customer relations

Must-haves for this role:

• Post-secondary education with a Welder Certificate in GMAW, SMAW and FCAW
• Experience welding heavy equipment an asset
• Experience in line boring considered a huge asset
