Job summary

Momentum Integrated Solutions Ltd. in Newmarket, ON seeks a self-motivated Welder with strong interpersonal skills to join their team on a permanent, full-time basis. The position requires starting as soon as possible and offers day and weekend shifts.

Responsibilities include operating various welding equipment, interpreting process specifications, and performing metal fabrication tasks. English fluency and a High School diploma are required; Red Seal certification is preferred.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Operate manual, semi-automatic, and fully automated welding equipment.
• Interpret welding process specifications and assess weldability of materials.
• Maintain and repair welding, brazing, and soldering equipment.
• Fitting, brazing, and torch-straightening metal as required.

• The candidate must interpret welding process specifications.
• The candidate must be able to use manual, semi-automatic, and fully automated welding equipment.
• The candidate must be able to operate either manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment.
• The candidate must be able to operate brakes, shears, and other metal shaping, straightening, and bending machines.
• The candidate must be capable of fitting, brazing, and torch-straightening metal.
• The candidate must determine the weldability of materials.
• The candidate must be able to operate previously set-up welding machines in order to fabricate or repair metal parts and products.
• The candidate will be expected to maintain and repair welding, brazing, and soldering equipment.

Job Requirements

• The candidate should be fluent in English language.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• The ideal candidate will have at least 3 to 5 years of experience in a related industry.
• The candidate must have a Welder Trade Red Seal Certificate.
