Job Description

• Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on the task at hand
• Prepare materials for welding tasks
• Perform welding in different positions (vertical or horizontal) using arc or semi-automatic welding equipment
• Inspect each weld to ensure it meets standards and specifications
• Cut materials using the appropriate method
• Complete work orders, recording tasks performed and materials used
• Ensure proper use and maintenance of company equipment
• Notify the immediate supervisor of any necessary actions, detected problems, or time overruns
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Work safely while adhering to the company's occupational health and safety (OHS) policies and procedures
• Perform any other related tasks as required

Qualifications

• Education and Certification: DEP in welding and fitting or an equivalent certification (CWB certification is an asset)
• Experience: Experience in industrial welding, including arc and semi-automatic welding equipment
• Technical Skills: Ability to read technical drawings, weld in various positions, and comply with quality standards
• Health and Safety: Commitment to following OHS policies and maintaining a safe work environment
• Personal Attributes: Attention to detail, autonomy, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
