UK MECHANICAL VENTILATION AND AIR CONDITIONING COMPANY LTD. in Merritt, BC is seeking a Welder to join our team. The right candidate will interpret welding process specifications, read blueprints, and operate manual, semi-automatic, or fully automated welding equipment.

This permanent, full-time position offers 32–40 hours per week with relocation assistance. The candidate should have 2+ years in a related industry, strong English communication, and a willingness to relocate as needed.

• The candidate must interpret welding process specifications.
• The candidate must be able to operate manual, semi-automatic, or fully automated welding equipment.
• The candidate must be able to read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings, specifications, manuals, and processes.
• The candidate must examine welds to ensure that they meet standards and/or specifications.
• The candidate must be able to operate either manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment.
• The candidate must be capable of fitting, brazing, and torch-straightening metal.
• The candidate must determine the weldability of materials.
• The candidate must be able to operate previously set-up welding machines to fabricate or repair metal parts and products.
• The candidate must operate previously set-up brazing or soldering machines to bond metal or fill holes, indentations, and seams in metal.
• The candidate will maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing, and soldering equipment.

Job Requirements

• The candidate should be fluent in the English language.
• There are no standard education requirements such as a bachelor’s degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
• The ideal candidate will have at least 2 to 3 years of experience in a related industry.

• The candidate should be willing to relocate and ready to find a job in a new or different city.
• The employer should cover the candidate’s relocation costs, allowing the employer to contribute to the employee’s relocation costs incurred in moving closer to the company’s offices or other work locations as required.
