Responsibilities

• Perform MIG welding and fitting of steel components in a fabrication shop environment.
• Read and interpret shop drawings, blueprints, fabrication drawings, and weld diagrams to complete work accurately.
• Fit, align, and assemble components using hand tools, torches, and related fabrication equipment.
• Inspect work for quality, accuracy, and adherence to specifications.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area while following shop safety procedures.
• Work collaboratively with supervisors, fitters, welders, and production team members to meet production deadlines.

Job Summary

We are seeking experienced Welders and Welder/Fitters for opportunities in a busy metal fabrication and welding environment in Holland Landing, ON. This role is ideal for candidates with MIG welding experience who enjoy hands-on work, custom fabrication, structural steel, fitting components, and producing high-quality welds in a shop setting. This is a strong opportunity for dependable welders looking to build long-term stability with a team-oriented operation that values safety, quality workmanship, and skill development. Multiple openings are available, including afternoon and day shift roles. Candidates should be comfortable working in a heavy steel fabrication, machining, or assembly environment and be committed to producing accurate, clean, and consistent work.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform MIG welding and fitting of steel components in a fabrication shop environment.


• Read and interpret shop drawings, blueprints, fabrication drawings, and weld diagrams to complete work accurately.


• Fit, align, and assemble components using hand tools, torches, and related fabrication equipment.


• Inspect work for quality, accuracy, and adherence to specifications.


• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area while following shop safety procedures.


• Work collaboratively with supervisors, fitters, welders, and production team members to meet production deadlines.

Compensation and Benefits

• Pay rate: $24 to $30 per hour based on experience, including afternoon shift premium.


• Increase available after 3 months.


• Afternoon shift start time: 2:00 p.m. or 3:00 p.m.


• Training schedule: 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
