Job summary

Kibbi Technologies Inc. in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, invites applications for a welder to join our manufacturing team. You will interpret welding specifications, operate manual/semi-automatic and automated welding equipment, and read blueprints to ensure weld quality.

The position requires a Red Seal certificate or equivalent, Secondary education, and 3–5 years of welding experience. Work is performed in a factory environment with access to staff accommodation and on-site parking.

Qualifications

  • Secondary school graduation certificate or equivalent required.
  • Welder trade Red Seal certificate or equivalent credential is required.
  • 3–5 years of welding experience or equivalent.

Responsibilities

  • Interpret welding process specifications from blueprints and manuals.
  • Operate manual or semi-automatic and fully automated welding equipment.
  • Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings, specifications, and processes.
  • Examine welds to ensure compliance with standards and specifications.
  • Operate flame-cutting equipment and metal shaping machines as needed.
  • Fit, braze and torch-straighten metal, and use welding methods SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, FCAW, SAW.
  • Operate oxygen arc cutting equipment, hoisting and lifting equipment.
