Job description

As the industry-leading manufacturer and distributor of abrasive blasting equipment and supplies, our Leduc manufacturing team is critical to our overall business strategy, fueling Allredi's growth across North America. We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented welder to join our manufacturing team. Previous welding experience is essential along with a hunger to learn and grow with the business. Work is day-shift with some evenings and weekends required to meet business goals. Comprehensive, generous benefits provided along with 3 weeks of paid-time-off annually!

As part of the Manufacturing team, a welder is responsible for the fabrication and welding of both production and new product prototypes in a safe and effective manner through the effective use of tools, assembly equipment, fixtures & material handling equipment.

Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, welding specifications, and SOPs.
  • Must be proficient in MIG and Arc welding, along with fabrication and set-up processes.
  • Set-up, operate and maintain machinery and equipment such as welding machines, grinders, zip discs, band saw, etc.
  • Prepare metal to be powder coated or painted.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area.
  • Work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with high attention to detail.
  • Comply with all Health & Safety related policies, procedures, and safe work practices.
  • Support other departments as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
  • Proficient MIG and Arc welding experience.
  • Will have to work with various power and manual tools, including a torch, hammer, tape measure, and all welding tools of the trade.
  • Manual dexterity with the ability to lift 70lbs. or less throughout the workday.
  • Reliable and punctual.
  • Willingness to learn and build new skills while contributing to our positive work environment.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
