Job description

Essential Functions

• Always follow the procedures outlined for the job being performed
• Always use the check list provided to ensure quality objectives are being met.
• Perform work outlined in daily schedule.
• Ensures all components for the next day's work are ready.
• Maintain fixtures and table.
• Deliver completed work to next in-process workstation.
• Check for accuracy of subassemblies.
• Complete daily and weekly equipment inspection reports if applicable.
• Check settings on welding machine and cutting equipment prior to beginning work.
• Maintain tools and machinery required for the job.
• Perform welding and fitting operations in compliance with standard or custom drawings.
• Work in a safe manner and obey all safety policies.
• Work overtime as needed.
• Clean workstation each day. (Sweeping, debris, removal, and organize).
• Communicate with plant manager daily when working off shifts.
• High school math skills. Will be required to convert fractions to decimals and decimals to fractions.
• Perform all required welds of steel within quality standards.
• Ability to use continuously the welding equipment, hand tools, and powered tools.
• Ability to read measuring tape to 1/16".
• Ability to set up and maintain welding, cutting and required power equipment.
• Ability to continuously lift to seventy-five pounds, and walk, push, pull, and reach overhead.
• Ability to withstand environments ranging from heat/cold/vibration/noise/dust/welding fumes.
• Ability to read schedules, drawings, and time records.
• Ability to identify and count parts and subassemblies in order to complete internal inventory.
• Attention to detail and pride in workmanship. Mechanical aptitude.
• Fitting skills are an asset.
