As a Weigh Scale Technician, you install, maintain and repair scales for our customers across the Maritimes. You will have the opportunity to service industrial scales from a variety of industries including construction, fishing, and oil and gas. This role will report to the Weigh Scale Team Lead.
Qualifications
- Education: Preferred degree/diploma in post-secondary education with a strong electrical/mechanical background.
- Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience is required.
- Mindset: Detail-oriented, flexible, and capable of working both independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
- Skills: Proficient in Microsoft platforms. Strong organizational skills and excellent communication abilities are essential.
- Must have basic knowledge of computer scales.
- Knowledge of safety manuals & on-site safety requirements would be an asset.
- Experience in repairing Industrial & Retail Weigh scales would be an asset.
- Willing to provide in-house training.
- Valid Class 5 driver's license required with clean drivers abstract.
- Valid Class 3 driver's license would be an asset.
- Must be able and willing to travel out of town to perform on-site service calls & contracts.

Responsibilities
- Install and maintain scales at customer’s sites.
- Advise customers on proper equipment operation and basic maintenance procedures.
- Repair scales at customer’s sites.
- Respond to emergency repair in a calm, efficient, and professional manner.
- Supply technical assistance to customers.
- Analyze equipment problems.
- Problem-solve issues, independently or with your colleagues.
- Make field corrections.
- Maintain work area, vehicle, and equipment in an orderly manner.
- Maintain high safety standards according to company policy and training.
- Write neat and accurate service reports and calibration certificates.
- Complete training sessions required by our policies or our client’s policies.
