Nurse Manager Job Summary:
  • The Nurse Manager is a qualified, experienced, and multi-task-capable Licensed Nurse overseeing 2nd shift and weekends as coordinator for skilled and assisted living and IL Clinic.
  • The primary purpose is to assist in planning, organizing, developing, and coordinating Nursing Services according to applicable standards and regulations, within the scope of practice, and as delegated by the DON/designee or Administrator, to ensure quality resident care.
Qualifications

Education required: Must be a graduate of an accredited RN or LPN school of nursing.

Experience required: Training in a hospital, skilled nursing community, or related medical setting; training in rehabilitation and restorative nursing is preferred.

Professional license or certification requirements: Licensed Nurse or RN unencumbered in North Carolina; CPR certification.

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
  • Valid and current RN/LPN license in North Carolina.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English clearly.
  • Ability to make independent decisions when necessary.
  • Ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family, visitors, and agencies.
  • Knowledge of nursing and medical practices.
  • Leadership ability and willingness to work harmoniously with staff.
  • Ability to plan, organize, develop, and interpret nursing programs and policies.
  • Maintain proper care and use of supplies and equipment; ensure sanitation, order, and safety of nursing areas.
