Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a QC Assembly Inspector for our weekend night shift (6:15 PM- 5:45 AM) in Canada. You will verify build integrity across modular cooling units, inspect sub‑assemblies like motors, coils, evaporators, and final units, and maintain thorough documentation to ensure drawings, specifications, and internal procedures are met.

Qualifications

• Ability to read shop drawings and use measuring tools to verify parts and assemblies.
• Keen eye for defects with knowledge of materials and assembly methods.
• Strong communication and time management; ability to work independently.
• Familiarity with workplace safety and safe material handling.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and digital photo/document tools.
• Capability across Sub Assemblies: Wall, Roof, Base Frame, Drain Pan, Bulkhead, Evap Sub, Motor Sub, Damper, Line, Final, Wrapping, Loading, Paint.

Responsibilities

• Complete sub-assembly inspections, including motor, coil, evaporator, furnace, and paint components.
• Perform full unit final inspections and verify sealing and presence of all parts.
• Review daily paperwork for in-process units and report deficiencies.
• Maintain detailed inspection records for traceability of findings and non-conformances.
• Support NCR/ECR processes and assist with corrective actions when needed.
• Assist with training and knowledge-sharing within the team and production staff.
• Ensure all inspection forms are uploaded and trackers updated per safety standards.
