Job summary

Gestal is seeking a Logistics and Production Planning professional to drive reliable material flows, from component receipt to use, in partnership with the Supply Logistics team.

You will define an inventory strategy aligned with capital management, and create a shopload schedule for unpaced sectors, coordinating with multiple cross-functional teams to optimize production kits and inventory.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or college diploma in logistics, industrial engineering, operations and logistics, or operations management with equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Define and implement an inventory management strategy aligned with capital management aims.
• Create a scheduling plan (shopload) for unpaced production sectors.
• Harmonize solutions between Supply and production demand to optimize inventory strategy.
• Define and document the strategy for production kits.
• Interact with cross-functional teams (Logistics-Supply, Methods, Industrial Engineering, Quality).
• Support improvement projects (Achieve Excellence, 5S, Cost Reduction, Value-Added Production).
• Assist integration of new tools into the manufacturing system.

What are your contributions to the team?

• Develop and execute reliable material flows, from component receipt to arrival at its final point of use, in close collaboration with the Supply Logistics team.
• Define and implement an inventory management strategy that integrates well with the capital management strategy.
• Create a scheduling plan (shopload) for unpaced production sectors.
• Develop harmonized solutions between the Supply team and production demand to maximize the inventory management strategy.
• Define and document the strategy for production kits.
• Interact with multiple cross-functional teams (Logistics-Supply, Methods, Industrial Engineering, Quality).
• Participate in improvement projects (Achieve Excellence, 5S, Cost Reduction, Value-Added Production, etc.).
• Support the integration of new tools into Bombardier's manufacturing system.

Working hours: Friday / Saturday / Sunday: 6 AM - 12 PM (36 hours total)

How to thrive in this role?

• You hold a bachelor's degree in logistics, industrial engineering, operations and logistics, operations management, or a college diploma with equivalent work experience.
• You have a strong interest in continuous improvement and value-added production.
• You have 2 to 5 years of experience in the logistics or production planning field.
• You have relevant experience in the aerospace or automotive field.
• You are proficient in both written and spoken French and English.
• You have a good knowledge of the Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project).
• You have experience with the SAP ERP system (an asset).
