Job summary

Robin Hood Association is seeking a Community Disability Worker in Fort Saskatchewan. This role involves weekend shifts including days, evenings, sleep shifts and 24-hour coverage, providing direct care under individual plans and supporting independence.

The position requires strong communication, time management and teamwork, with a focus on safety, ethics and engagement with participants and families in the community.

Qualifications

• Post-Secondary preferred for applicants.
• Foundations in Community Rehabilitation and Disabilities Studies required or preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with individuals, families and teams.

Responsibilities

• Implement individual service plans to support adults, youth and children.
• Provide direct care and scheduled services, communicating changes to a supervisor.
• Assist individuals in goal setting, community participation and life skills development.
• Promote safe environments and report hazards.
• Maintain records and prepare required reports and documentation.
