Base pay range

$24.73/hr - $28.03/hr

Job Description

DESCRIPTION:
As a Wire EDM Field Service Technician, you will utilize customer communication skills, and mechanical and electrical knowledge to repair, troubleshoot, modify, and test complex technical problems on Mitsubishi Machining products. This is a 100% travel position, Monday through Friday, primarily throughout the US, with potential international travel. Services are provided on-site at customer facilities and via telephone when applicable. Essential Responsibilities

• Travel to customer locations to diagnose complex technical problems and perform on-site repairs.
• Examine machines mechanically and electrically to perform repairs, dismantling and rebuilding as needed.
• Diagnose technical problems and troubleshoot via telephone.
• Communicate professionally and effectively with customers.
• Interpret schematics and block diagrams to analyze and troubleshoot problems.
• Document product problems and resolutions in detail.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

• Ability to read mechanical drawings and wiring diagrams.
• CNC programming skills are a plus.
• Proficiency with Windows operating systems.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment.
• Extensive travel, valid driver’s license required.

Education And Experience

• 2-year Electronic or Technical Degree, or equivalent experience.
• Skilled in electrical measurement and inspection techniques (Voltmeter, Oscilloscope, etc.).
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing mechanical problems.
• Skilled in mechanical measurement and inspection techniques (Dial Indicators, Micrometers, Calipers).

Working Conditions

Primarily indoors, with exposure to weather conditions, moving mechanical parts, and noise. Requires driving and overtime. Valid driver’s license needed.

Physical Requirements

Frequent bending, twisting, standing, speaking, hearing, kneeling, repetitive hand use, lifting, pushing, and pulling. Good visual and color acuity essential.
