Job description

The Ottawa Hospital Research Institute is the research arm of The Ottawa Hospital – one of Canada’s largest learning and research hospitals. With more than 2,200 scientists, clinician investigators, trainees and staff, and total revenues of more than $120 million, we are one of the foremost Canadian hospital-based research institutes. Our research spans more than a hundred different diseases, conditions, and specialties with an overall focus on translating discoveries and knowledge into better health.

Coordinate approved website content, including text, graphics, and multimedia materials, ensuring consistency in design and formatting. Maintain the site’s content and archive posted or retired materials. Monitor website traffic, user feedback, and analytics to support ongoing improvements. Assess competing websites to inform enhancements and maintain a strong digital presence. Respond to Webmaster inquiries and support future website development. Maintain and update ORBCoN’s social media accounts to support program visibility and engagement. Assist with web‑based audits and regional data collection. Provide administrative support including meeting coordination, agenda preparation, minutes, contact list maintenance, and material shipping.

Basic Requirements
  • University or College Degree in Web Design, Computer Science, Information Technology, Communications, or Marketing.
  • Experience with Content Management Systems (CMS) such as WordPress.
  • 3+ years of experience with web content management or digital marketing roles.
  • Experience with managing digital content, updating site materials, and maintaining content libraries.
  • Knowledge of HTML/CSS and familiarity with SEO practices and analytics tools like Google Analytics.
  • Understanding web design principles and image editing.
  • Strong writing, editing, and digital content optimization skills.
  • Fluent in the English Language.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certifications such as Certified Web Professional (CWP) or similar webmaster certifications.
  • Experience managing social media content.
  • Knowledge of French Language beneficial.

This is a 1-year full-time contract

Min: $29.718/hr - Max: $39.624/hr
