Job summary

Info-Ways Brampton, ON seeks a WebLogic SOA Tuxedo MQ specialist to manage production middleware, install and upgrade Oracle Tuxedo Server, and mentor teammates. You will handle on-call support, ensure SLA compliance, and coordinate with global support to resolve issues across development, testing, production, and DR environments.

You should have strong communication, troubleshooting, and project-planning skills, with hands-on experience in WebLogic/Tuxedo and MQ suites.

Qualifications

• Provide timely and accurate on-call support for production infrastructure during non-business hours.
• Mentor team members on tools or architecture concepts as needed.
• Complete Administration of Oracle Tuxedo Application Server.
• Install, configure, implement, upgrade and migrate Oracle Tuxedo Application Server.
• Familiar with Weblogic Tuxedo Connector (WTC) and related configurations.
• Understand Weblogic Architecture to support WTC.
• Develop project plans and work breakdown structures.
• Knowledge of Web & Application Tier, Backup & Recovery procedures.
• Familiarity with SDLC and other development methodologies.
• Provide updates on project status, issues, and risks.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-call support for production infrastructure and resolve L3 level Tuxedo issues across environments.
• Train or mentor teammates on tools and architecture concepts as needed.
• Administer Oracle Tuxedo Application Server and related middleware components.
• Drive installation, configuration, upgrade and migration activities for Tuxedo.
• Coordinate with global support for urgent issue resolution and issue tracking.
• Design and develop reusable components for SOA-based implementations.
• Ensure system availability matches SLAs and manage production down situations.
• Collaborate with peers to define technology/process improvements.

Job description

Role: Weblogic SOA Tuxedo MQ
Location: Brampton, ON
Duration: 6+ Months

BGV will be done for the selected candidates.

• Provide timely and accurate on-call support for production infrastructure components during non-business hours and weekends
• Provide training or mentoring to other team members on tools or architecture concepts as needed.
• Excellent communication both written and oral, Problem solving ability with good interpersonal skills and Superior analytical and troubleshooting skills

• Must have experience of working on Install, configure, Implement, upgrade and migrate of Oracle Tuxedo Application Server
• Must be familiar with Jolt, Weblogic Tuxedo Connector (WTC), Tuxedo LDOM and RDOM configurations, Workstation Listener (WSL) and Workstation Handler (WSH)
• Must with familiar with Weblogic Architecture to facilities Weblogic Tuxedo Connector (WTC)
• Experienced developing project plans and work breakdown structures
• Knowledge of Web & Application Tier, Backup & Recovery procedures
• Familiarity with SDLC and / or other systems development methodologies
• Provide constant updates with project status, issues and risks on a timely basis
• Ability to exercise independent judgment in driving technical problems to resolution
• Working with internal service groups to ensure system availability matches agreed SLAs
• Must have good understanding of handling critical applications in production down situations
• Work with peers within / beyond M/W team to define and characterize technology / processes
• Will be instrumental in development of white papers / proposals / deliverables / SOP documents
• Experience with ITSM tools e.g. CA Service Desk / Remedy, etc.
• Troubleshoot and resolve L3 level Tuxedo issues across Development / Testing / Production / DR environments
• Must have sound knowledge of other Middleware Administration Components e.g. Application Server, Web Server, Database Server, etc.
• Closely Work with Oracle Global support for resolving urgent issues which includes logging and tracking issues
• Analyze monitoring results to produce recommendations to improve operational efficiency of Tuxedo components

Resource should be comfortable with IBM MQ administration as follows,

• Should be working on issues related to middleware infrastructure design & architecture including clustering & scalability
• Excellent troubleshooting production issues related to MQ
• Strong experience in designing Message Flows, Message Sets
• Must have thorough knowledge on Message Broker using IBM MQ
• Coordinate with L3 /Development team on identified Technical Errors
• Strong knowledge of WebSphere MQ concepts, IBM MQ and MQ Clustering
• Strong knowledge of EAI and SOA design patterns, overall SOA architecture
• Design and Developed reusable components for SOA based implementations
• Support / Guide teams in Creation of re-usable assets, frameworks, solution packs
• M/W support with expertise in IBM WebSphere Message Queue and Message Broker
• Hands on with Installation / configuration of MQ series support / fix packs on windows / UNIX
• Strong knowledge of WebSphere Message Broker, overall understanding on Broker architecture
• Will be responsible for configuration / management of Broker registries and execution group monitoring
• Must have architected SOA solutions using WebSphere Message Broker or similar in large integration project
• Experience / knowledge in WebSphere process server and WebSphere integration developer would be good to have
• Sound knowledge in WebSphere MQ v6.0 / v7.0 / v7.5 Installation / Configuration / administration on Windows & Unix
