The incumbent is responsible for maintaining contracted assets (roadways, medians, signs, guardrails, fences, bridges, tunnels, vegetation, etc.) through operation/use of heavy equipment, particularly during seasonal needs (e.g., snow plow operations), and other duties per contract requirements. This role requires a strong safety focus and the ability to recognize hazards and adjust to avoid loss, injury, or accident. You must be able to communicate safety instructions to co-workers and wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) appropriate to your job. This position is for Snow Plow / Seasonal Equipment Operators for the seasonal period of October through April. A minimum of a DZ license is required for this job. For Winter Season – Removal of snow and ice using snow removal and/or sanding equipment, including salting and other seasonal maintenance on roads and bridges.
For Summer Season – Maintain and repair highway and other surfaces including signs, guardrails, fences, lighting, potholes, striping, reflectors, and litter/debris removal.
