Job Description

Position Summary: Provides leadership and supervision of maintenance crews, performing maintenance, servicing, and repairs of roads and infrastructure assets such as signs, guardrails, bridges, tunnels, and vegetation, ensuring compliance with standards and directives.

Responsibilities
  • Train, direct, and coordinate maintenance crews, ensuring safety and adherence to work plans.
  • Monitor employee performance, providing coaching and discipline as needed.
  • Manage emergency responses, including road closures and incident management.
  • Set up and remove traffic control measures to ensure safety.
  • Perform maintenance tasks at heights using appropriate equipment.
  • Maintain structures and equipment, including electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Transport crews and equipment to work sites safely.
  • Participate in emergency response rotations, including overtime and holiday work.
  • Maintain and repair highway surfaces, signage, guardrails, and vegetation.
  • Ensure the work environment is safe, inclusive, and compliant with policies and legal requirements.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • At least 1 year of experience in infrastructure maintenance preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license; CDL, DOT, electrical, or welding certifications are highly desirable.
Physical & Work Environment

Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, work at heights, in confined spaces, and in various weather conditions. Exposure to traffic, chemicals, insects, and noise is possible. PPE is required at all times.
