Job Description:

Position Summary: Assist leadership with project monitoring, reporting, and compliance related to the Maintenance Rating Program (MRP) and the Safety Plan. Provide leadership on health, safety, environmental, and quality (HSE) requirements for the project.

Primary Duties And Responsibilities:
  1. Set and exemplify HSE standards, fostering a collaborative partnership mindset.
  2. Serve as an HSE subject matter expert for project/site leadership.
  3. Lead and coach safety meetings, toolbox talks, and lessons learned reviews.
  4. Conduct site observations to ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
  5. Mentor and coach staff on HSE issues and document observations.
  6. Develop and update HSE plans and risk assessments.
  7. Conduct HSE training and meetings, document in learning management systems.
  8. Investigate incidents, analyze root causes, and communicate lessons learned.
  9. Track HSE data to plan improvements and inform leadership.
  10. Provide emergency care and oversee case management and return-to-work programs.
  11. Implement corporate safety programs and maintain administrative files.
  12. Manage inventory of HSE supplies.
  13. Communicate daily activities to relevant leaders.
  14. Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Influence and achieve results in a matrix environment.
  • Effective communication skills for diverse audiences.
  • Knowledge of HSE standards and regulations.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve.
  • Organizational skills to manage multiple priorities.
  • Attention to detail and safety awareness.
  • Ability to work in various environments and wear PPE.
Education and Experience:
  • 2+ years in infrastructure or maintenance industry.
  • 1+ years in construction or industry HSE leadership.
  • Associate degree or working towards a Bachelor's in a safety-related field.
  • Working towards professional HSE credentials (e.g., ASP, CSP).
  • Valid driver’s license with good driving record.
Work Conditions/Physical Demands:
  • Ability to walk in rugged terrain and lift 35 pounds.
  • Ability to work in hot/cold environments and wear PPE.
  • Ability to make decisions in noisy, hazardous environments.
  • On-call 24/7 for critical operations.
