Responsibilities

  • Write, modify, integrate and test software code.

Maritime Digital Art and Design ltd based in Halifax, NS is inviting applications from suitable candidates for the position of Web programmer who are self-motivated and have good interpersonal skills. Maritime Digital Art and Design (MDAD) LTD was founded in 2014 to fill a gap in the market for 3D visualisation, multimedia, immersive, and interactive media. To capitalise on the rapidly expanding market, the studio has grown to create world-class interactive multimedia software products, Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR), 3D modelling and illustrations, Safety, and educational training applications. MDAD Studio is guided by an artistic vision of interactive storytelling and entertainment art, pushing the boundaries of professional involvement with digital media design and training applications.

It is constantly exploring the frontiers of this new media, charting ways to combine user interaction with immersive Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR) experience and education-training; gaming, video, text, graphics, animation, and web. MDAD Studio now intends to capitalise on the immediate opportunities for growth in the VR/AR immersive and interactive media explosive market by expanding our operations to include publishing as well as production, and significantly increasing the number of innovative titles we produce each year. We are grateful to have been subcontracted by Bluedrop Training & Simulation from 2015 to 2021 and to have been a part of some fantastic projects in the past.   • The candidate will be required to write, modify, integrate and test software code.
  • The candidate would be responsible for identifying and communicating technical problems, processes and solutions.

  • The candidate must be able to ensure that designs are in compliance with specifications.
  • The candidate would be in charge of designing and developing software systems based on scientific analysis and mathematical models that predict and measure outcomes and design consequences.
  • The candidate would be responsible for all stages of software development lifecycle
  • The candidate will be expected to keep their technical knowledge and skills up to date by attending in-house and external courses, reading manuals, and gaining access to new applications.
  • The candidate must keep a record of data and backup files.
  • The candidate will be expected to analyse customer feedback and provide appropriate solutions.
  • The candidate must integrate existing software products and make incompatible platforms work together.
  • The candidate will be expected to incorporate cutting-edge technologies in order to provide outstanding applications and services.
