Job summary

The Canadian Avalanche Centre (CAC) is seeking a Web Developer to design, develop, maintain and support CAC/CAA websites. The role requires strong .NET/C# skills, SQL, XML and HTML/CSS, plus experience with IIS and SVN. The successful candidate will work to keep sites aligned with brand standards and provide user support while collecting usage statistics.

Residency in Revelstoke is preferred; full-time hours in winter with flexible summer hours, and a benefits package are offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of web development experience including design, maintenance and support.
• Microsoft .NET development experience and troubleshooting abilities.
• Strong knowledge of C#, SQL and XML.
• Experience with HTML and CSS, and data exchange via XML.
• Experience with Subversion and IIS.
• Familiarity with social media interlinking and e-commerce is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, maintain, administer and support CAC/CAA websites.
• Maintain sites to corporate design standards and develop site content.
• Monitor site accuracy and collect web statistics.
• Provide user technical support and perform related duties.
• Residency in Revelstoke is preferred.
