Overview

Hexafusion Canada is seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Web Developer to join our AI development team. In this role, you will design and build modern, AI-powered websites and applications that seamlessly integrate conversational AI, automation workflows, and intelligent user experiences. Your work will directly shape the next generation of AI-designed web platforms for Canadian and U.S. businesses.

This is not a standard web developer role; you will collaborate closely with our AI specialists, IT engineers, and cybersecurity experts to create high-performance, scalable, and secure websites that showcase the power of AI-driven automation.

What You Will Do

• Design, develop, and maintain advanced web applications with a strong emphasis on AI-integrated workflows.
• Build responsive, high-performance frontends using modern frameworks (React, Next.js, or Angular).
• Develop backend services with Node.js or Python (FastAPI, Flask) to support AI features and automation.
• Collaborate with AI engineers to integrate LLMs, chatbots, and voicebots into websites.
• Optimize websites for speed, scalability, SEO, and security.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker), and modern deployment practices.
• Build and maintain plugins/extensions for CMS platforms (Joomla, WordPress) to enable AI features.
• Conduct thorough testing, debugging, and code reviews to ensure high-quality delivery.
• Stay ahead of emerging trends in web development, AI automation, and cybersecurity.

What We Are Looking For

Must Have

• Legally eligible to work in Canada.
• 3+ years of proven web development experience with a strong portfolio.
• Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and TypeScript.
• Hands-on experience with React, Next.js, or Angular.
• Backend experience with Node.js or Python (FastAPI/Flask).
• Strong knowledge of REST/GraphQL APIs and web integrations.
• Experience with Docker, CI/CD, and Git-based workflows.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP and DigitalOcean).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and ability to work in collaborative teams.

Nice to Have

• Experience integrating AI/LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Self-hosted LLMs, etc.).
• Familiarity with automation tools (Zapier, n8n, Make.com).
• Knowledge of SEO optimization and website performance tuning.
• Experience developing Joomla/WordPress plugins or CMS customizations.
• Exposure to cybersecurity best practices for web applications.
• Background in IT, SaaS, or AI-driven businesses.
