Responsibilities

Reporting to the Lead Developer the Web Developer is responsible for:

• Develop, test, and deploy web applications and websites.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
• Ensure responsive design and cross-browser compatibility.
• Collaborate with front-end and back-end developers to integrate APIs and other services.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to website functionality, performance, and security.
• Maintain and update existing websites and applications.
• Optimize websites for speed and performance.
• Stay up to date with emerging web development technologies and trends.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to the improvement of team development practices.
• Collaborate with designers to implement visual elements and functionality.
  
  

Desired Skills, Qualifications And Competencies Include

• 3 years proven experience as a Web Developer or in a similar role.
• Bachelors/Master degree in Computer Science.
• Experience with version control tools (git) is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in web development frameworks (e.g., React.js and Next.js).
• Relevant certifications (e.g., JavaScript, front-end/back-end development, web development bootcamps) are a plus.
• Strong knowledge of responsive web design and mobile-first development.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and integrating third-party services.
• Understanding of SEO principles and web performance optimization, as well as familiarity with cookies and industry-standard tools like Google Analytics, is highly desirable.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• IREN operates across multiple countries / time zones - Must have a flexible approach to work hours.
• Experience with problem solving in complex projects that have a company-wide impact.
