Web Designer Position at Ward’s Hydraulic Services Ltd
Ward’s Hydraulic Services Ltd located at 945 Memorial Drive, Fort McMurray, AB, T9K 0K4, has a full-time and permanent vacancy for a Web Designer at our office. The incumbent will perform duties related to web design and graphic design.
Responsibilities
- Establish design guidelines, standards and optimal design practice
- Maintain design database as per website design requirement
- Keep up to date with current design, visual art trends and best practices
- Adapt to project roadblocks with a solution-driven approach
- Maintain the appearance of websites regularly, by applying content standards
- Design visual imagery for websites and ensure that it is consistent with the organization’s image
- Incorporate features and functionalities into websites to ensure that customers can easily browse the production categories
- Create and optimize content for the website using a variety of graphics, database, animation and other software
- Test and improve the design of a website
- Regular web content maintenance and testing of website as per business requirements
- Ensure that downtime on website is minimal to none
- Coordinate team members to develop website graphics, content, capacity and interactivity
- Create 2D / 3D parts and assembly designs for marketing and manufacturing, including web and motion graphics
Graphic Designer Responsibilities
- Develop 3D product models and animations based on company requirements for promotional and training purposes, ensuring they align with branding and communication needs.
- Decide whether to use 3D renders, animations, or interactive content to effectively showcase product functionality in marketing videos and training materials.
- Create realistic 3D product models and animations to meet company objectives for marketing, training, and technical visualization.
- Design, model, and animate products using software such as Blender, Unreal Engine, and Twin motion to produce high-quality visuals.
- Handle 3D product visualization and animation production for digital platforms, mainly focusing on video and interactive training materials.
Education
Degree in computer science or completion of college diploma in graphic arts, web design from any jurisdiction.
Experience
- Knowledge of 3D (Blender, 3D Max)
- Knowledge of Animation and Unreal Engine
- Knowledge of computer design tools (Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop)
- Video editing skills
- Industry knowledge will be an asset
Wages and Hours
$30.29 per hour, paid bi-weekly. Average 40 hours per week. Overtime will be paid after 40 hours @ 1.5. No weekends, unless requested by Management. Single accommodation that is not more than 30% of the gross wages will be found for the employee. Employee must pay the accommodation. Relocation assistance will be provided.
