Position : Web Designer

Type : Full-Time, Temporary (1-Year with the possibility of extension)

Location : Edmonton, Alberta, Canada

Workplace : Hybrid. This position requires on-site work at our office for a minimum of 3 days a week. We will not accept applications from candidates seeking fully remote positions. (Please plan for full-time in-office for the first 4-6 weeks for onboarding and training)

We are looking for a temporary Web Designer to be a part of Lift's growing Nimble Digital team!

About

Lift is a leading digital marketing agency located in Edmonton, Canada. As part of our Nimble team, you will offer cost-effective websites and ongoing digital marketing programs to clients across Western Canada.

Nimble provides a smarter, stress-free solution to digital marketing, helping clients better understand their business and customers, and engaging effectively with their audience.

As a Nimble Web Designer, you will apply branding and imagery to new website projects, select page layouts using custom-designed, conversion-optimized templates, and collaborate with marketing and web team members to meet project objectives. The ideal candidate will have experience with Frontend Development and a keen eye for clean, artful web design.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop sitemaps based on client needs
  • Conceptualize user-friendly page layouts
  • Create and interpret site maps to communicate layout and content structure
  • Implement branded layouts following design guidelines and standards
  • Design engaging, responsive landing pages
  • Adhere to the Nimble website building process, following industry and design best practices
  • Collaborate with marketing and web team members to ensure project timelines and client expectations are met

Requirements & Qualifications

  • 1-4 years of experience in web design and front-end development, preferably in a team or agency setting
  • Proficiency with Webflow for website delivery
  • Experience with WordPress, including front-end page builders, WooCommerce, and hosting environments
  • Familiarity with Shopify
  • Experience with Figma or similar design/wireframing tools
  • Ability to build wireframes and sitemaps
  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for rapid prototyping
  • Basic understanding of SEO and web traffic metrics
  • Strong problem-solving skills and creativity
  • Excellent multitasking and time-management abilities
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Quick learner, adaptable to a fast-paced environment
  • Stay updated with the latest web trends, techniques, and technologies
