Job summary

IPG in Canada is seeking candidates to join the weaving team. This full-time, permanent position involves 12-hour shifts at the Truro Industrial Park, with a starting wage of $20/hour, weekly pay, and shift premiums. PPE is provided and benefits include extended health and dental, a pension plan, and an on-site cafeteria.

You will work in a fast-moving production area, staying active with regular walking. No weaving experience is required, and you’ll be trained on-site.

Qualifications

• Entry-level friendly - no weaving experience needed.
• Energetic, self-motivated, and ready to learn
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to juggle multiple tasks
• Comfortable working around machines
• Previous fast- paced work experience is an asset

Responsibilities

• Keep looms running by fixing breaks in the tape (weft & warp).
• Replace empty tape packages and keep them neat and organized.
• Check fabric closely to catch and correct defects.
• Perform general housekeeping (dusting looms, sweeping floors).
• Support team tasks as needed in a fast-moving production area.
• Stay active - lots of walking required!
