ABOUT THE ROLE

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who is ready to play a foundational role in shaping the next chapter of our firm. You’ll begin in a supporting role, working closely with senior team members on investment management and wealth planning needs for our growing client base.

As you grow, so will your responsibilities and influence. This role is built for someone with the vision and ambition to become a future leader—not only in portfolio management, but in redefining what full-service wealth means in Canada.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

In the first 12–18 months

  • Support the development and delivery of Bridgeport’s wealth management planning offering
  • Work closely with portfolio managers to integrate planning insights into investment conversations
  • Participate in client meetings and follow-ups, bringing a planning-first lens to wealth conversations
  • Prepare planning materials, client summaries, and internal briefing notes
  • Leverage technology and tools to build scalable planning workflows
  • Collaborate in the evaluation of insurance, tax, and estate considerations (directly or via partner firms)

Over time, you will

  • Become a direct relationship manager for client families
  • Help families engage across generations and values to foster productive dialogue and social harmony
  • Assist in designing and delivering tiered planning experiences that evolve with family complexity
  • Serve as a thought partner to the senior team in shaping the strategic direction of our wealth offering

  • Requirements

  • CIM, CFA and / or eligible to become registered as an Associate Portfolio Manager with the OSC
  • Financial planning experience and credentials (CFP or PFP preferred)
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Familiarity with planning tools
  • Prior experience working with high-net-worth or family clients is ideal
