We're hiring for a Restaurant Manager to join the team!

We're seeking a passionate and experienced Restaurant Manager to join the leadership team at Mercato di Luigi & Cantina di Luigi!

Our second Mercato location builds on the spirit of our first but introduces Cantina di Luigi - a hidden, intimate dining room tucked behind a drawn curtain. Encased in floor-to-ceiling wine racks, it pays tribute to the traditional Italian cantina, where wine was aged, meats were cured, and meals were soulful and simple. By day, Mercato is an Italian deli, café, and market. By night, it transforms into a full-service restaurant and wine-forward dining destination, celebrating Italian cuisine rooted in simplicity, seasonal ingredients, and a thoughtfully curated wine list. We’re looking for a leader who shares our passion for Italian culture, exceptional guest experiences, and wine education.

You have:
- 2+ years experience in a supervisory role in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- A strong knowledge of wine, ideally with a focus on Italian varietals, regions, and service
- A calm, confident, and kind presence - both on the floor and with your team.
- Proven success in controlling beverage, labour and supplies costs, menu development and pricing
- Ability to work evenings and weekends
- Experience with scheduling
- Serving It Right and Foodsafe Level 1 certifications
- Knowledge of Italian aperitivi, food and wine considered an asset
