Reporting to the Vice-President, Community ImpactStrategy, this role is at the forefront of shaping how we understand, measure,and amplify the impact of our programs and services across communities. As theResearch & Evaluation Advisor, you will be designing bold evaluationstrategies, building a culture of learning, and empowering staff and partnersto use data to create change.
The key responsibilities of the role include:
· Championa culture of evaluation across UWM and the communities we serve—making datameaningful, accessible, and actionable.
· Designand lead evaluations—from small-scale assessments to large, strategic impactstudies.
· Developlogic models and theories of change that bring clarity and focus to ourprograms and strategies.
· Supportinternal teams and funded partners in building their capacity to collect,manage, and interpret data.
· Leadengaging trainings and workshops that demystify data and inspire evidence-baseddecision-making.
· Analyzeand share insights from national, regional, and local data to inform strategyand spark innovation.
· Identifyresearch gaps and forge partnerships to deepen our understanding of communityneeds and opportunities.
Additional Qualifications:
· 3-5years’ experience in designing, conducting and supporting community-basedprogram evaluations and/or social services research.
· Demonstratedexperience developing program logic models and Theory of Change models.
· Excellentwritten, verbal communication skills and presentation skills with the abilityto communicate with a broad range of stakeholders.
· Abilityto capture, analyze and synthesize information and prepare user-friendlybusiness documents, reports and briefing materials accurately.
· Proficiencyin a variety computer software application (e.g. MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint andOutlook), databases and presentation software etc.
United Way Maritimes is committed to a comprehensivecompensation package including salary, group retirement savings plancontribution,healthand dentalbenefits,generous vacation time,andprofessional development and training.
