Job description

Winpak Division is seeking a Material Coordinator (1 Year Term) to join their Production Control department based out of Winnipeg, Manitoba. In this role you will be reporting to the Supervisor, Production and Inventory Control. This position coordinates the transfer of raw materials between various production areas and external warehouses. Ensures raw material inventory is delivered on time to the production facility to meet the production schedule to eliminate any unforeseen downtime in the operation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Understand the production schedules and material requirements to ensure proper collaboration between departments and flow of materials.
  • Determine material requirements and ensure availability to meet the production schedules by reviewing all stocking / warehousing locations.
  • Coordinate and communicate with all departments to ensure accountability for all material movements.
  • Maintain all information for status of materials on daily basis.
  • Collaborate with Logistics on all deliveries and ensure compliance to all material requests.
  • Prepare required documents and maintain all files for material delivery sites.
  • Work with Logistics to adhere to space limitations within the production facility when determining the amount of material being transitioned between warehouses.
  • Tasks to be completed at predetermined cut-off times

Required Qualifications

  • Grade 12 diploma or equivalent.
  • 2+ years experience in Inventory Management

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1+ years of experience with manufacturing, inventory, and scheduling.
  • 1+ years of computer experience with Word and Excel
  • 1+ years of experience understanding new software applications including ERP systems.

Additional Details

  • This is a 1 year term position & the selected candidate will work 100% onsite
  • The position is located at 100 Saulteaux Crescent, Winnipeg, MB R3J3T3, Canada
