Winpak Division is seeking a Material Coordinator (1 Year Term) to join their Production Control department based out of Winnipeg, Manitoba. In this role, you will report to the Supervisor, Production and Inventory Control. This position involves coordinating the transfer of raw materials between various production areas and external warehouses, ensuring raw material inventory is delivered on time to meet the production schedule and prevent unforeseen downtime.

Key Responsibilities

  • Understand production schedules and material requirements to facilitate proper collaboration and material flow between departments.
  • Determine material needs and ensure availability to meet production schedules by reviewing all stocking and warehousing locations.
  • Coordinate and communicate with all departments to ensure accountability for material movements.
  • Maintain daily status updates for all materials.
  • Collaborate with Logistics on deliveries and ensure compliance with material requests.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation for material deliveries.
  • Work with Logistics to adhere to space limitations within the production facility when transitioning materials between warehouses.
  • Complete tasks by predetermined cut-off times.

Required Qualifications

  • Grade 12 diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 2 years of experience in Inventory Management.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Over 1 year of experience in manufacturing, inventory, and scheduling.
  • Over 1 year of experience with Word and Excel.
  • Over 1 year of experience with ERP systems and other software applications.

Additional Details

  • This is a 1-year term position, and the selected candidate will work 100% onsite.
  • The position is located at 100 Saulteaux Crescent, Winnipeg, MB R3J3T3, Canada.
