JOB TITLE: Water Park Maintenance Supervisor

ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE: Reports to the General Manager and Assistant General Manager

FLSA STATUS: Exempt

DEPARTMENT: Maintenance

Key Duties And Responsibilities

  • Perform assigned preventative maintenance, repairs, and overhauls on rides, equipment, and facilities, ensuring complete compliance with the manufacturer’s specifications, safety protocols, and park standards.
  • Assist management with troubleshooting and repairs to ensure the proper functioning of the pumps, filters, plumbing systems, buildings, and all facilities on the property.
  • Lead and supervise the seasonal maintenance team.
  • Provide guidance and training on required job skills and safety to seasonal maintenance team members.
  • Maintain the highest safety standards, performing daily safety checks on park attractions and rides, and attending to any repairs.
  • Perform regular checks of pools and perform chemical adjustments to ensure a safe environment that complies with standards.
  • Respond to all maintenance-related radio calls in a timely and appropriate manner.
  • Maintain all appropriate documentation.
  • Communicate with the Maintenance Manager and General Manager regarding any hazards that arise to ensure the safe completion of repairs.
  • Contribute to a positive working environment, promoting a culture of safety awareness within the maintenance department.
  • Must be able to work varied shifts, including summer season holidays, weekends, and closing shifts.
  • Other duties as assigned.

SKILLS, REQUIREMENTS, AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 1+ years of previous pool maintenance experience is preferred; experience in a water park setting is a plus.
  • Supervisory experience preferred.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Skills and knowledge of pumps and filtration systems preferred.
  • Skills and knowledge of carpentry, repairs, plumbing, and electrical are preferred.
  • Must be comfortable performing duties in water at a depth of up to 10 ft.
  • CPO certification or ability to obtain upon hire.
  • Communicate effectively and appropriately with all guests, co-workers, and management.
  • Must be a self-starter, able to multi-task, work independently, and have a positive attitude.
  • Ability to troubleshoot problems and present solutions for a variety of situations.
  • Ability to interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • General math skills include basic addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and the ability to read measurements.
