Job summary

GFT is seeking a Water/Wastewater Modeller to join our Water team in Toronto, Mississauga or Ottawa, ON. This hybrid role requires regular office attendance in one of these cities and offers opportunities to work on hydraulic modeling and design for water distribution and wastewater systems.

You will analyze system performance, support project delivery, and collaborate with clients to address pumping, storage, and treatment challenges.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of hydraulic analysis and design experience for water and wastewater systems.
• Experience with hydraulic modeling software such as InfoWorks, WaterCAD/WaterGEMS, InfoWater, or Hammer.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to prepare and deliver client presentations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct hydraulic modeling analysis and design on multiple projects.
• Plan, coordinate, and direct hydraulic modeling efforts.
• Analyze system performance data and maintain asset management plans.
• Analyze water sources, treatment, pumping, and storage for capacity evaluations.

What You Will Do

GFT is seeking to build a pipeline of Water/Wastewater Modeller talent to join our Water team in either Toronto, Mississauga or Ottawa ON.

This role follows a hybrid work model, requiring regular attendance at our Toronto, Mississauga or Ottawa office.

Responsibilities

As a Water/Wastewater Modeller, you will be involved in the hydraulic modeling, planning, and design of water distribution and wastewater collection systems, with an emphasis on addressing complex issues related to pumping and transmission, storage, source of supply, and treatment.

• Conduct strategic planning studies for improving and scaling various water/wastewater systems.
• Plan, coordinate, and direct hydraulic modeling analysis and design on multiple projects with complex features.
• Analyze system performance data and maintain asset management plans.
• Analyze water source, treatment, pumping, and collection/distribution, and storage to conduct system capacity evaluations.
• Interact with project clients to understand their needs and requirements.
• Provide technical input and review of project deliverables.
• Support scope, budgets, and proposal preparation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Registered P.Eng or ability to obtain within six months.
• Experience as model manager and/or water planner.

Compensation

The salary range for this position is $68,000.00 - $98,000.00 dependent upon experience and geographic location.
