Job summary

Veolia Group is seeking a Dispatchable Field Service Representative to provide on-site operations and maintenance for water treatment systems. The role covers UF and other technologies, with duties spanning calibration, troubleshooting, and customer training on-site.

The position requires mechanical aptitude, 2+ years in industrial service, a valid license, and willingness to travel across the GTA, Canada, and occasionally the US for training. Based in Oakville with 10% overnight travel.

Qualifications

• Mechanically inclined.
• 2+ years’ experience in service/maintenance or equivalent in an industrial environment.
• Valid Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Conduct maintenance and calibration activities on various treatment plant instrumentation.
• Consult with customer management and operation teams.
• Ensure contract compliance of volume and quality specifications.
• Monitor and optimize equipment performance.
• Install and provide maintenance activities on various UF membrane configurations.
• Provide excellent mechanical know-how and problem-solving skills.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, process and controls on equipment such as valves, air compressors, ejectors pumps, blowers, instrumentation, chemical injection systems and automation hardware.
• Create and maintain site paperwork, and provide customers with detailed technical summaries of work performed.
• Maintain inventory of spare parts and adequate supply of chemicals and replacement parts.
• Monitor and maintain chemical injection systems.
• Perform analytical testing such as: turbidity, hardness, chlorine, pH, CO2, O2, SDI, TOC, in addition to various other site-specific testing requirements.
• Review customer plant installations and compare against Veolia's reference drawings (P&IDs, electrical schematics, general arrangement, etc.).
• Train customer operators around operation and maintenance of their system.
• Other duties as assigned
