Job summary

Citycare Water in Stratford is seeking an experienced Water Technician to join our hands-on team. You’ll repair and maintain water reticulation networks in small, supportive crews and perform reinstatement works and upgrades. A full Class 1 licence with manual transmission is essential, as is 4+ years in the industry and on-call availability.

Class 2 and WTR are ideal, with training provided. Join a company that values safety, teamwork, and community service, offering a supportive environment

About the job:

We’re looking for an experienced Water Technician to join our team in Stratford!

  • Hands-on role repairing and maintaining water reticulation networks
  • Work within supportive small teams

What you’ll need:
  • Ideally you will have 4+ years of relevant industry experience.
  • Health & Safety focused.
  • We need someone who is able and willing to participate in the on-call and standby roster.
  • You will need to be physically fit, health and safety focused and work well in a team as well as independently.
  • A full class 1 licence and an ability to drive a manual is also essential.
  • Class 2 and WTR would be ideal

A NZ Certificate in Infrastructure Works, Level 3 is advantageous, but not essential – if you’re a hard worker, we will help you to obtain this!

All preferred candidates will be required to complete preemployment checks to the employer’s satisfaction. These checks include but are not limited to, Ministry of Justice criminal conviction report, medical assessment, and drug and alcohol testing.
