Water Systems Field Service Tech - Winnipeg, MB

This is a hands-on role servicing water and wastewater systems throughout southern Manitoba. If you have mechanical, plumbing, or electrical experience and thrive in an autonomous working environment, we want to hear from you.

Wage : $40++ per hour depending on experience

Experience & Qualifications :

  • 5+ years experience in installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical systems, including pumps, valves, and piping
  • A background in plumbing is ideal; Pipefitters or Millwrights will also be considered
  • Experience with treatment processes, planning, maintenance, SCADA systems, lift station operation, process control, and control panels
  • Maintenance and troubleshooting skills
  • Planning, scheduling, and supervision experience
  • Self-directed with minimal supervision
  • Willing and able to work out of town overnight on limited occasions (most nights at home)
  • Valid Class 5 Drivers License
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills

Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Respond to calls and texts from customers, including troubleshooting over the phone
  • Coordinate maintenance and schedule sub-trades as needed
  • Commissioning, cleaning, inspections, and maintenance of lift stations
  • Maintain treatment plants and perform on-site repairs
  • Measure piping and plan layouts for headers, drop pipes, and valves
  • Perform safety audits and monitor safety equipment and supplies
